Hi friends! Guess what?
We are back from our whirlwind weekend at Walt Disney World! We had an awesome time and I have so much to share with you!
We left this past Friday morning from DSM on a nonstop Allegiant Air flight to Orlando Sanford and flew back early Monday morning so we were only in Florida for about two and half days but we were going pretty much nonstop for most of it. As a result we are dog tired (at least I still am!) but we got most everything in we wanted to see!
We mostly took the trip to visit my sister who is in Florida doing the Disney College Program for the semester. She is working as a lifeguard at Blizzard Beach. And since she is an employee, she was able to get us a big discount on our room (Cars suite at Art of Animation) and also get us into the parks for free both days we were there. It seemed like too good of a deal for us to pass up so of course we jumped on the opportunity to go visit her!
Here are a few photos from my instagram feed and I should hopefully be posting more as I get my photos organized, edited and uploaded in the next few days.
Waiting at the airport in DSM. Michael insisted on wearing his ears to the airport and on the plane-so cute! He was ready to go!
As mentioned earlier, we stayed in the Cars section of the Art of Animation resort and it was really fun. It was more expensive than other value resorts but we figured we might not have the opportunity again when Michael would think it is so exciting to stay with all his favorite characters. The whole resort was well themed and really immersive. I will have to share a whole post of photos on the resort!
Dumbo!
So...stay tuned and I will be back with more vacation photos than you can handle real soon! :o)
can't wait to see more, Rose, and glad the family castle shot turned out again!! i've just recently heard about the art of animation resort, and it sounds super cool. i'm impressed with your nighttime photo of the castle!
