Baby gulps down several ounces of amniotic fluid every day, both for hydration and nutrition and to practice swallowing and digesting. And, these days, those taste buds actually work! Studies show that after birth, babies are most interested in tastes they've already experienced through amniotic fluid. Meaning, think about what you want your future child to eat as you prepare your own lunch.

This is an interesting fruit for this week because I feel like baby is really growing but it is still pretty small. Less than a pound! So tiny! Just think about how much a pound is...a pound of hamburger for example. This baby has lots of growing to do!
5 days of school left!
Today I signed my contract for next year. I will be working 1/4 time which will be about 10 hours a week. I am looking forward to staying at my same school and also staying home with baby! It should be a nice mix. Now...about that daycare situation! I have a couple of leads but I guess we have until January (hopefully when I'll go back after leave) to decide on a place!
Did I miss the part where you said if it was a boy or a girl???? I went back and still don't see it!! :o)
ReplyDeleteNo way! I had no idea that the little people wee already eating and swallowing and getting "tastes" from what you eat. That is super interesting.
